On May 27, 2011, on the eve of International Children's Day, Zhou Liangcheng, general manager of Huaguo Company, who has always been enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings, together with leaders from the Chancheng District Taiwan Affairs Office and representatives of Huaguo Company employees, traveled thousands of miles to Tiqiao Primary School in Leigao Town, Leizhou City, to attend the completion ceremony of the school building donated by Huaguo Company and the Huaguo Education Scholarship Award Ceremony.

Tiqiao Primary School in Leigao Town, Leizhou City, is one of the Hope Primary Schools that Huaguo Company has continuously supported for many years. Since learning about the poverty situation of Tiqiao Primary School in 2007, Huaguo Company and its staff have continuously provided assistance to the school in many aspects, including hardware facilities, teaching staff, and learning materials. This year, the company has invested more than 500,000 yuan to build the Huaguo school building and personally inscribed a motto for the building to encourage all teachers and students.

The visit by Huaguo Company staff was warmly welcomed by the Leizhou City government, Tiqiao villagers, and all teachers and students of the school. Several elderly people over sixty years old from Tiqiao Village even walked to the school to personally thank Mr. Zhou for his continuous generous support for Tiqiao Primary School and families in need. They held the general manager's hands tightly, repeatedly expressing their gratitude. Five middle school students personally sponsored by Mr. Zhou also took this opportunity to return to their alma mater to visit their beloved Uncle Zhou.

At the celebration ceremony, students raised the flag and presented red scarves. Mr. Zhou and the attending leaders from the Leizhou City government delivered speeches, cut the ribbon, and Mr. Zhou personally awarded the education scholarships to the winning teachers and students. To welcome Mr. Zhou and the colleagues, the Tiqiao teachers and students also carefully prepared and performed a chorus of "The Dedication of Love" and a sign language performance of "A Grateful Heart," among other song and dance programs. The programs were sincere and touching. During the celebration, the schoolyard was filled with villagers who came with boundless gratitude, almost all talking about the "company boss from the big city" and how "if it weren't for their help, our poor village school wouldn't be so beautiful…"

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Zhou encouraged the teachers and students of Tiqiao to bravely face difficult environments, cultivate great character in hardship, and strive to learn to repay society! Representatives of the teachers and students of Tiqiao also spoke, expressing their determination to cherish this hard-won learning opportunity, study hard, repay Huaguo Company's support and encouragement with excellent results and a good image, and become useful people to society!

This trip to Tiqiao was the first stop of this love journey. In the following days, Huaguo Company will send representatives to the poverty-stricken Hope Primary Schools that Huaguo Company has long supported to distribute scholarships and bring festival greetings.
